President and Founder, 1985 – Present
Corbett founded H.J. Corbett & Associates, Inc. in 1985, where he has served as President, providing COO/CFO services to startup and Internet clients, as well as financial consulting services to large corporations including BCBS of Florida, SRC an Aetna Company, Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. and Fidelity National Financial.
During his career, Corbett has been responsible for directing operations in technology, startup and turnaround situations as the senior executive. Corbett specializes in providing strong leadership, team building, problem solving, strategic planning, cash management and mentoring/training expertise in public, private, emerging growth, and startup companies.
Corbett uses his superior team building skills to select and retain any additional talent his clients need for specific initiatives. The talent is retained for the specific purpose and time to provide the optimum solution within the client’s cost and delivery parameters, relieving the client of the burden of supervising multiple contractors.
Corbett’s project management work has included major financial, systems and training initiatives at The Gillette Company in their world headquarters, Mark III Industries, PCA International, and every consulting client he has served.
Prior to 1985 Corbett held management positions with The Gillette Company and PCA International, Inc.
Corbett holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cornell University, with MBA coursework performed at Cornell University and Boston University.
